It's February. Although it's the shortest calendar month, it is a special month because it is black history month - a month in the year that is used to reflect on the history of black people, their heroes, their past, their present and the future. In the month of February, the culture and the significance of the black people in the society are highlighted. The month of February also determines the classification of the current calendar year i.e a leap year. February is also universally known or referred to as the love month since it houses the day couples and families all over celebrate as valentine's day. It's a day set aside annually to make that special person in your life feel special. Personally, I do not agree with celebrating someone special on one day as I see Valentine's day as a holiday that enriches the pockets of corporations and businesses.
