Women in general are created to perfection. Their
well-proportioned facial features, bodacious curves and innate cat-like walks
are some of many things women possess that drive men insane. Traditionally, it
has been the duty of the man to acknowledge a woman’s appearance or beauty.
Most people would agree that it is the gentleman’s thing to do. A man who takes
a woman out on a date is expected to compliment her appearance or beauty if he
wants to score a second date with her. Admiration comments are also expected
from husbands and boyfriends. Many couples have had fights that stemmed from
the husband not complimenting their wives’ appearance. This stresses the
importance of verbally acknowledging a woman’s appearance. However, it is also
important for the woman to acknowledge the men on their appearance because men
do appreciate those words and compliments. Words like “You are so handsome”, “I
love that color on you. It makes you look more attractive” makes a man feel
like a million bucks. Men are egocentric beings in general and compliments or
words of praise from a woman or a significant other helps feed our egos and
help boost our confidence. Therefore, it is imperative for a couple to say nice
things to each other on a daily basis. This fosters a healthy relationship,
lessens quarrels and boosts the confidence of both. For a relationship to work, be it marriage,
friendship or other, there has to be good communication between both parties.
Acknowledging each other’s appearance or physical attributes are forms of
communication, and also a way of keeping things fresh or to keep the fire in the
relationship burning because it can definitely lead to flirting. So ladies,
just as you enjoy a man telling you those nice things that make you blush, you
should also return the favor to the men. It goes both ways.

I believe everyone knows that marriage is a union of two souls to become one. However, some people going into marriage don't understand that it is a not a transactional relationship but one that is meant to collectively pull singular resources together to achieve an expected goal. This is because some women believe that the m...

ReplyDeleteCould not agree more. It is important that we as women embrace that quality. To constantly let our men know how much they are appreciated. It does not cost a thing. Just words. But words are so powerful and essential to every relationship.
ReplyDeleteI could not agree more. We need to appreciate our men more. Words are very powerful elements in a relationship. It is not only saying the big things that matter. Most times than not, the little things we say to our men have a bigger impact on them than we think.
