Michael Jackson: The star, the lies and the legend

I was a year when I first had my earliest experience with Micheal Jackson's songs. My mom actually said that on my first birthday, I tried to do a happy jump when songs like Beat it, Thriller, Bad, Smooth Criminal and the rest played. I was so inspired by Michael Jackson that when I was 3, I would wear my white socks on my right hand. He was the most popular singer songwriter and performer at that time and continues to inspire different artists, songs, genres and dance moves. He has influenced different generations and continues to do so to generations of new. This leads to the intent of this blog.
Recently, Michael Jackson or as I call him, the real MJ was portrayed in a documentary, Leaving Neverland, as a pedophile who molested young children. In the documentary (that I refuse to waste my time on), 2 white males were interviewed and gave their statements on how MJ masturbated in front of them and touched them inappropriately. Apparently, there are more people who are also coming out to say that they were molested as well which may lead to his remains be exhumed for DNA testing. Now that we got all the lies out, it's time we get to the facts about MJ, his life and how that relates to the accusations.
Here are the facts. It is important to note that the two white men who have come out to state that MJ molested them were witnesses in his 2005 and gave sworn testimonies where they stated that he did not molest them. MJ was chemically castrated as a child by his late father, Joe Jackson and had zero testosterone. This means MJ could not produce sperm cells or father a child. This means his two children are not biologically his. We cannot state this as a fact but any one can see that those children have no atom of MJ in them. They lack the MJ effect or bear any resemblance to MJ.  It cannot be denied that MJ loved children because he saw himself as one. The fame and his late father cost him his childhood and in many ways, he somehow craved that stage in his life. This made him make friends with children who he found to be innocent, pure and needed to be protected. Similarly, MJ was eccentric, shy and exhibited child like characteristics on many occasions but he made it his job to protect children and not molest them. Another reason MJ loved spending time with children is that they did not judge him but loved him for who really was as he had very few people that he trusted. MJ gave over 350 million dollars to charity, sought all over the world for a liver to save a dying little child, gave all the earnings from man in the mirror to charity and once risked his life to save a child who was a potential victim of a car accident. MJ's love for children was also seen when he visited hospitals to spend time with children and when he flew Mickey and Minnie mouse to surprise and life the spirits of sick children.
These allegations and documentary fail to highlight the fact that MJ was under FBI surveillance for over a decade with nothing to substantiate claims of child abuse. Although, these allegations attempt to tarnish the image of the legend, Michael Jackson, the facts cannot be blotted out from the record books. MJ was exonerated from his 2005 case due to no evidence of child abuse. He broke the Guinness book of Records in album sales surpassing Elvis Prestley and the Beatles. He loved, cared for and sought to protect the children. He was an advocate for black people, using his voice and platform to stand against injustice towards blacks. And though he is no longer with us and his music stripped from the radio, his soul and his voice echoes in every rhythm and every song we listen and dance to.
Nota Bene: It is highly pertinent and human to show love to people around us even though the same act of love may be utilised as tools to harm us. We exist not to just love ourselves but others so they can also reciprocate in a hope to make the world a better place. It starts with the man in the mirror.

  1. Jackson had purchased the ATV catalog in 1985 (which owns the rights to most of the Beatles' songs) for $41.5 million, and it with Sony Music Publishing as a joint venture in 1995.

The white man wants to ruin MJ LEGACY. The same as they want to ruin Bill Cosby, now if Bill Cosby was raping women at the rate they claim at that "in your face" racist time in America. Bill Cosby would surely be arrested, especially if he was raping white women, America has killed black people for reasons much minimal with zero evidence. So I do not believe MJ was a child molester. He was a talented black man that had a family that was addicted to fame and money - because blacks living in poverty was a devestating reality so with talent they made millions. There was self hate in the mix that is why MJ and his family severed off their noses, bleached their skin and perm fried their hair. MJ could have adopted 3 beautiful black children but he chose to find 3 white kids. Anyways this is all just to tarnish his legacy because he is a wealthy black man with power beyond the grave. It makes white racists sick to their stomach that this black man has and will forever incluence music for generations to come. Elvis Prestely was a pedophile with a 14yr old girlfriend but we don't hear anything about that. Where is the global outrage. Great blog, thanks for sharing.

  2. The year was 1983 the show was Motown 25th Anniversary, the preformer was Michael Jackson , the moment etched in time was the unveiling of his now signature move the Moonwalk. I sat absolutely awe struck. It was that precise moment I knew this man was a living legend. The very next myself as well as damn near all the neighbourhood kids were trying to imitate what was possibly the most amazing dance move we’ve witnessed. I can’t recall a time when Michael Jackson’s music was no being played in the car or the house,it was to the point my friends dubbed my house the “Michael Jackson house”.
This documentary (which I absolutely refuse to watch) is trying to tarnish the legacy of a legend. It’s onky purpose is the tear down this man’s character.
It’s rather unfortunate that this man is not able to Rest In Peace.
All his life all he’s ever done was put the world first and in return the world persecuted him.
His child like persona and innocence was what made him big hearted man he was.
Despite what has been said and continues to be said about him, he will forever remain the GOAT!

50/50: The mathematics of marriage?

I spent some time with my mum today. We talked about a lot of things that revolved around me and life in general. The topic of marriage came up and we talked about how marriage and the idea of marriage had evolved over the years. Marriage back in her time and that of her parents or grand parents were based on the very basic things that mattered back then. Men chose to marry women who were polite, had a nice smile or simply just because they came from a good, reputable family. Those were the simpler times. Times when the parameters set for a mate can be argued to have been based on quality over quantity. Nowadays, marriage is a whole different ball game.  I believe everyone knows that marriage is a union of two souls to become one. However, some people going into marriage don't understand that it is a not a transactional relationship but one that is meant to collectively pull singular resources together to achieve an expected goal. This is because some women believe that the m...

Christians need to look in the mirror

I was born into a christian home and raised as one. Throughout my childhood and teenage years,  I remember spending countless hours in churches and various christian assembly.  I still am a devout christian and believer and lover of Christ. However,  I am not one to say that my faith is without blemish or error as it surely has lots and has become a global joke. Christians have now become sheep led by leaders who do not even understand what being a leader means.  Leaders who talk the talk but can't walk the talk.  Leaders who go into office to chase after titles,  money and fame. Gone are the days when pastors or Christian leaders go into office to make a positive difference in people's lives.  Gone are the days people shy away from being a Christian leader because of the difficulty or meekness of office or how they're perceived by in public or even as a result of the little money they make. Nowadays pastors consider themselves rockstars prophesying fa...

It's not just all about you

The season of Christmas is upon us.  It has crept upon us faster than we had expected. It's December and my favorite month of the year not because of the season that it brings, but because this month embodies the happiest moments of my childhood.  It taught me the real meaning of family, happiness, togetherness and great outpour of charity, which i s originally refer red to as agap ē l ove. As you know, Love is a n affection of benevolence towards another with no expecta tion of reciprocity and absence of selfish gains or interest. Although, Christmas signifies the birth and celebration of Jesus Christ and a major part of the Christian religion, it means so much more than that. However, it is wise not to dwell on that because that fixation could cause a segregation across religious beliefs. Christmas simply personifies and creates a platform for giving rather than receiving. As a young boy, I was educated on the difference between giving and receiving by my late grandfather...
