The role of the woman

Last month's blog discussed the role of a man in a relationship. What a man should do or needs to do when in a relationship. It was one of my favorite blogs to write and I suggest you read it if you are yet to do so. This month's blog focuses on what a woman needs to do or should be doing in a relationship. In short, it will discuss the role of a woman in a relationship. So what is a woman's role? Well a woman is an accessory to a man. In other words, a man is not complete without the right woman for him. Consider a man who is wearing a suit with no shoes, tie, belt and so on. That man looks good from a POV but as a whole, desperately is in need of accessories to complete his ensemble. This does not mean that a man cannot exist without a woman.  He sure can but without the presence of the right woman in his life, he leads an incomplete one. The importance of a woman in a relationship cannot be overstated. A woman's role in a relationship is to help the man and add subst...

The role of the man

It is evident that the world we live in is hinged on relationships. Relationships is our tool of perception and modus operandi in our everyday life. If you're an avid reader of my blogs, you will notice that I seem to focus more on love relationships. What is a love relationships? Well love relationships are relationships that are borne out of attraction and longing to express heartfelt feelings and possibly spend a lifetime with someone special to you.  For this type of relationship to work, it is highly important for both parties in the relationship to be knowledgeable of their roles in order to effectively do what is required of them in the relationship.  So what is the role of the man in a relationship? Well the man in a relationship is like a driver of a vehicle.  He should know when to slow down, accelerate and pump the brakes. The use of the symbol vehicle here refers to the relationship.  Wonder why women prefer a man that has a car? The reason is not to have...

Don't live in the past

Our past has an influence on our present relationships and that is what this month's blog will discuss in detail.  Relationship is a broad phenomena but in this blog, the word relationship will only refer to love relationships i.e relationships between couples. Relationships entail hard work and commitment.  Many people don't realize this because they get lost in the happy and eye-appealing moments in a relationship e.g the happy couple pictures, the relationship nicknames, the romance and so on. When people witness those parts of a relationship, they get drawn or become interested in forming a relationship.  As much as everyone deserves to be loved, relationships are not meant for everyone. The suffix "-ship" symbolizes two people on a ship and being able to steer the ship in the right direction amidst any turbulence along the way. When two people are committed and pledge loyalty to each other, it involves work and sacrifice from both parties. Sometimes, this commitm...

It might be your fault

I had another topic in mind to post for this month's blog but was somehow led to talk about breakups in relationship with regards to cheating on spouses. As we all know, relationships are part of our existence and started from our birth with our mothers to this present moment you're reading this. Relationships are our avenue to communicate with not just ourselves but with our surroundings. In other words, relationships are the propelling force that wields our longevity in society. Relationships can come in many forms: a professional relationship, a familial relationship, a social relationship or a love relationship and so on. In this blog I'll focus on the love relationship. When two people fall in love, the world which we know to be as a mean and nasty one magically becomes the happiest place to be for these two people as a result of the magical nature of love. This is because love stimulates the brain chemical or hormone that is known as oxytocin which is also known as...

Works for me. Not you!

Relationships are full of double standards and although some may see that as the norm, it still is debatable. Double standards exist when someone or something favors someone or something else but does not favor the other person when things are the other way around. In other words, when principles or rules are applied differently to a designated person or group of people, a double standard occurrence has taken place. Double standards in relationships stem from the double standards that are evident in the world we live in today. We see them, experience them but somehow we have adapted to it or learned to live with it because it's something we cannot change or alter or maybe we learn to subconsciously consider the situation a state of normalcy. Most people in a relationship often state that a relationship should be 50/50 and that both parties should equally share responsibilities but the reality is not the case. Women want to be treated as equal to men in society only when it comes t...

Love 365

It's February. Although it's the shortest calendar month, it is a special month because it is black history month - a month in the year that is used to reflect on the history of black people, their heroes, their past, their present and the future. In the month of February, the culture and the significance of the black people in the society are highlighted. The month of February also determines the classification of the current calendar year i.e a leap year. February is also universally known or referred to as the love month since it houses the day couples and families all over celebrate as valentine's day. It's a day set aside annually to make that special person in your life feel special.  Personally, I do not agree with celebrating someone special on one day as I see Valentine's day as a holiday that enriches the pockets of corporations and businesses.  I believe that appreciating those you love or cherish should be done on a daily basis no matter how small that a...

Growth is in you!

The new year is a year of new things, new insights, new ways of tackling problems or situations that you were not able to solve in the past year. It's a year of venturing into businesses or taking advantage of investments that the past year could not entertain. It's a time period of growth and a time when you should not be where you were last year. If you have a child and that child was in the same grade for two years and didn't improve, you would consider that there's a problem with the development of that child. That is because with every new year, growth is expected. Now, everyone has new year resolutions at the start of the year to achieve growth or enhancement in their lives but fail to achieve this in most cases by the end of the year.  New year resolutions are not successful because people do not have the right idea. It's just that they do not use the right idea correctly. People make those resolutions so broad and unachievable. For Instance, if...
